Relaxation Techniques

Relaxation is important for maintaining health, wellbeing, and coping with life's stresses.  It reduces the impact of stress on the body and mind,  while lowering blood pressure. 


Relaxation also improves digestion, blood circulation, energy, and the immune system.  Having a calmer and clearer mind supports positive thinking, concentration, memory, and decision making. It can also help with reducing anxious tendencies, feelings of stress, anger outbursts, depression and maintaining positive sleep routines.


As a qualified hypnotherapist, I use relaxation techniques such as Positive Muscle Relaxation (PMR); supporting the relaxation of the brain, body and mind.  The technique builds on the theory that when you are physically relaxed, you cannot feel anxious.  The lasting appeal of this successful relaxation technique is its recognition of the fundamental connection between the body and mind.
