Counselling Through Therapeutic Play
Supporting you to empower yourself, the power is in your belief!
Therapeutic Play
When using therapeutic and creative play, the client is able to lead the sessions, at a pace that is suitable to their emotional understanding, while having their emotions and feelings accepted and validated, non-judgmentally.

By supporting through play therapy principles, children and young people are able to express feelings through a safe means of communication via play and creativity. This may include puppetry, the use of art, therapeutic storytelling, clay or playdough, natural resources (stones, shells, pine cones, sticks) metaphor and therapeutic play and sand tray therapy.

Counselling through therapeutic play provides the right conditions for children and young people to develop the skills and methods they need to grow, learn and express emotions in a positive way. Therapeutic Play enables a child or young person to express their feelings and problems through a wide range of toys and creative mediums, chosen specifically to allow engagement with imaginary play.

This enables the child or young person to work through feelings, experiences and emotions without the need for 'uncomfortable' conversations.
